My first suspicion these days with all these “why no macOS on iPad?” debates is whether they touch on battery life.
In general, the iPad has around half the watt-hour battery of a MacBook. It depends which models you compare—sometimes it’s less than half, sometimes it’s a hair more than half.
iPads also lack other Mac hardware, probably most notably fans. I have yet to see a video or blog post in this discourse acknowledge these hurdles.
