All of which is to say that I don’t think shifting the emphasis of JS standardisation to “let’s focus on enabling tooling” is going to have the results people seem to think it will in an environment that’s currently laser-focused on replacing coders entirely with tooling or at the very least leverage the tooling to make them as replaceable as possible.
But I’ve also been accused of being a pessimist.
