Mismatches include the fact that you can't easily use custom elements in SVG or tables. There are more examples, but it shouldn't be controversial to say that web components are very different from traditional components
To mean, that means they lend themselves to very different approaches, but if your project is one where traditional components are a sweet spot, web components are currently a very bad fit. And I don't think it's entirely fair to get angry when somebody points that out.
