The problem is that the government should not be influencing culture beyond what it establishes as its principles of law, but allow it to grow and recede naturally.
Otherwise, it could become an instrument of gentrification that targets or unfairly favors a classification of person.
It could influence people to become entitled by their classification, or otherwise stoke intolerance towards another.
