5/ Meta: if you misunderstand the nature of the problem/system/field then you will use and develop the wrong tools, and maybe more importantly: the wrong mindset.
I say that mindset is more important because I’m looking around and I see that all of the fields that understood (through experience) that their problem was complex developed similar tools and processes: tools for investigating/debugging, tools for collecting and monitoring metrics across the system, tools for feedback.
But if you misclassify your complex problem as complicated, you will ime inevitably end up in dogma masquerading as “Best Practice”.
And that’s… just religion to me.
You have to believe in it, and “it will be fine, the spirits/model told me”.
