An unsolicited email just arrived from a firm of solicitors I once used:
"Dear Jon, We are writing to inform you that following a review of your case, you may be entitled to £000s in compensation for mis-sold car finance."
Yeah, if you'd actually reviewed my case I suspect you'd have noticed that it was about being hit by a car when I was on my regular commute… by bicycle. The chance of someone who doesn't own a car having been mis-sold car finance is, I would suggest, low.
Clearly an automated email, which is especially hilarious given that the firm is called Bott and Co.
