Wooden sign with the name of the sculpture "Summer" Lidia Rosinska - artist from Zakopane, Poland Material is Red Oak The idea of my work, "Summer", refers to the figure of a woman mother of earth - wrapped in a robe decorated with plant and floral motifs. The woman's face is slightly tilted but at the same time turned to the sky and to the sun. The whole figure is supposed to be a connection of the earthly world - the world of nature with the universe. Ceramic bees are inset in the wood, meant to evoke Albert Einstein's quote "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then men would have only four years of life left." There is a logo of the Harry Whitehorse International Wood Sculpture Festival in the lower left corner and a QR code in the lower right corner of the sign.
