Guess which car dealer forgets to tell you that the GPS you’re updating will stop working if you turn it off before you get home
Unless you do first wait enough hours for its update to complete
<=
“”” We took our trip to nowhere today to update the GPS in the car. In theory, it would take approximately an hour. In fact, it took an hour and 45 minutes to complete the update. We stopped at the side of a gas station to turn the car off and back on. In theory you had to wait 15 seconds. Much to our dismay when we turned it back on and asked it how to find something. It said that the update had not completed. At that point we decided we would go get lunch and think about the problem, as we dreaded having to start all over. After lunch when we turn the car back on, the GPS was now a happy system so I guess it took more than 15 seconds for it to do whatever it does in the background when the car is theoretically off”””
