A suggestion that danger zones should be created in the city in places where crowds wanted to board , was made at last night’s meeting of the City Council by Councillor J. Aston. Councillor Aston said it appeared to him that there was a danger in the city from attempting to drive through a crowd before the tram had actually come to a stop. This was particularly noticeable at Bowen street corner, where motor-cars were daily seen attempting to race tramcars. He suggested that dangerous corners should be termed danger-zones, in order to prevent any possibility of accident.
