Good day from #Pasadena where it is 37°c (99°F) atm. A bit hotter than forecast. We had a cooler day yesterday; that would be easy to get used too even though it was still quite hot. But those will become slightly more common by mid September.
Today the heat from the concrete driveway area started to rise around 10am but I was quite busy doing woodworking in the garage so I continued until about 11:30 then came in, had some lunch and finally continued my “night” ie took my daily midday siesta!
I had been up since 4:20am so it was time. I cannot cut corners when it comes to sleeping, otherwise life becomes plain unpleasant.
I could manage when I was younger with espressos (although I actually cut caffeine twice for 5 years in the 1980s and again in the early 2000s.) Those were the days of burning the candle 🕯️ at both ends.
But with my heart tribulations, the candle only has so little left plus I can only have a little bit of caffeine so sleep is super important especially with chronic health issues. I now have to act sensibly 😊
