Keep forgetting I have Amazon Prime Video as a perk of paying for Prime mainly for the shipping. Pulled up the app on the TV this evening after watching the latest episodes of "Silent Witness" on Britbox. What am I watching on Prime out of all the stuff there? A compilation of videos from "The Porter Wagoner Show" and other things featuring Wagoner and Dolly Parton from the late 60's-1977.

Guess it's my childhood nostalgia kicking in again. Used to watch "The Porter Wagoner Show" weekend afternoons on the local CBS affiliate in the 1970's. I tend to like nearly every genre of music, just as long as it predates the early 1990's or so. In my LP/CD collection, I have literally everything from Enrico Caruso(WAY later reissues) to Frank Zappa.

"The Porter Wagoner Show" segments still aren't "pristine" picture quality wise, since it was a low budget syndicated show in the 70's shot on videotape, but still looks better on streaming on a modern TV than it did on the original B&W then later early color CRT TVs my family had at the time. Also sounds better than the built-in speakers in the TVs from the time.
