However, the values are real and there already, and most are defensible in some sort of construct and within a democratic system. Values generally come down to how we rank concerns. “I think this is more important than that”. And to me, because of this non-binary nature of values, there is room within it for meaningful compromise, but there is no room for compromise in dogma, it seems unavoidable that it becomes a binary: you are either with me or against me.
