Criccieth is a charming seaside town located in Gwynedd, North Wales, on the southern coast of the LlÅ·n Peninsula. It's known for its rich history, scenic beauty, and relaxed atmosphere.

It is situated between Porthmadog and Pwllheli, close to the edge of Snowdonia National Park. It offers stunning views of Tremadog Bay and the surrounding mountains.

The town's most famous landmark is Criccieth Castle, which sits on a rocky headland overlooking the sea. The castle dates back to the 13th century and was built by Llywelyn the Great, a Welsh prince, but later was taken over by the English under King Edward I during his conquest of Wales. Today, visitors can explore the castle ruins and enjoy panoramic views of the coast.
