Today was a nice day. Knocked out today's and much of Monday's tasks, at work. This afternoon, my wife and I went out for a long walk around the neighborhood, admiring the trees, then lying down in a park to let our stress bleed into the earth.
I drove out for groceries and she made a lovely chicken salad, and we watched 'Harvey' (1950) for the first time. She napped in my lap and I explained what she missed. At the end of the day we played cards, I drew another installment in my drawing challenge, and after I bless the bough the runes will be made from, I'll wash up and go to sleep.
I love Fridays like this, where so much has happened that it feels like it must be a Saturday, and yet tomorrow's not Sunday so there's nothing to dread.
