of all #ubuntu LTS upgrades i've ever done this one from 22.04 to 24.04 is the most painful one. the upgrade script uninstalled mdadm, udev, and all nvidia drivers. it aso uninstalled the drivers for input devices, so after i finally got the login screen back, the keyboard wasn't working. to get there, i had to boot an old kernel in recovery mode, regenerate the initrd files and reinstall grub. clementine, VLC and seafile are also gone, and i still have no functioning audio devices. #wtf
