#NPR's reporting about generative #AI is weird. A broadcast just now praised AI as something which unifies all of us because AI is based on all of our texts.
The broadcast oversimplified what AI does, compared failings of old LLMs with carefully constructed successful "tests" for new LLMs where the oversimplified explanation "surprisingly" doesn't work anymore. Conclusion: New LLMs might be actual intelligent like humans!
And apparently the only interlocutors were Microsoft engineers.
