Remember how you’d set the pace in the Oregon Trail to “grueling” and, while it would get you to Oregon faster, it would wear down everything and everyone faster, too?
Under late-stage capitalism, there’s no Oregon—at least not for labor. We’re not the settlers, we’re the oxen.
