if you’re creating a programming language, take care to design the language to the best that it can be. Make the right way, the best way, and the easy way. More crap and weirdness in programming happens because of:

1. “that’s how C did it” or “familiarity for C programmers”

2. Not breaking backwards compatibility in the early days. Feel the pain quickly. It only gets worse, when the user base is even bigger

3. Not setting the coding standard for the community
