The pandemic decimated downtowns across the country. St. Paul isn't special in that regard, and I know things are going to get worse before they get better. That tax pinch, from property taxes to fees and charges on my energy bill, is just felt so much more with each passing year.
At the same time, I'm not looking to move, but 8 of my neighbors are trying to sell right now and there's been no interest, so I couldn't even leave if I wanted to.
