I don't mean to pick on Netlify per se. This is just a common and frustrating occurrence.
I wish people would actually use jsdoc/tsdoc to generate documentation from their code instead of writing a whole separate article.
Document the code well, and there you have it; you don't need to document it twice (and leave out half the public API).
