A friend of mine asked me for a „bible“ about database structures and how to design a database. (It is not about scaling, only a few people will use it, with a couple 100.000 rows). The current db is postgres but I think it is less about technologies and more about design decisions and especially how to transform the current design to one which does the job better

Any recommendations?
