I‘m getting paid a few hundred dollars for some work I did for a university, and it is changing my life. The difference between having no reserves and a small amount is hard to describe. What I notice the most is how little people really understand what it’s like to be poor. I’ve been watching my bank account daily for that amount to come through and they hadn’t even processed it. This is how much we care about poor people. And we know no one cares. 1/2
