Some of the most spectacular rock art in Utah is to be found in Nine Mile Canyon.
The canyon is actually 40 miles long: called "the world's longest art gallery" it is home to numerous rock art panels, including the famous "Hunter Panel".
The art in the canyon was created by the Fremont culture (whose presence in Ninemile Canyon has been dated at AD 950–1250) and the Ute people and depict everything from local wildlife to cultural displays and beliefs.
