I think we should have elderly public representatives, much like we should have representatives for nearly every way of being that exists. But it’s boring to see the same elderly rich white people clinging onto the same elected position for ~40 years, who are more likely coasting on name recognition by a complacent electorate and deep pocket donors than beloved by the communities they purportedly serve..
