Watched "In The Folds of the Flesh" last night. Sounded like my kind of thing from the description, but it wasn't.
Shocks don't shock if you're continually throwing them at the audience with wild abandon. Just boring.
The biggest surprise for me might have been that it was so pedestrian visually. Although I don't think even Bava could have saved a script like this one.
