I feel like I've spent a lot of time in my career explaining to mainframe engineers how our tech stack works, and why we do things differently from how they do it
The past few years it feels like the time explaining everything just keeps growing and growing, as the stack and complexity grows
At some point during this morning's explanation of a service mesh, I found myself getting really jealous of the mainframe folks that they don't have to deal with all this complexity
