The Gold statue of Amon (945-712 BC), made of pure 6kg gold, belonged to 22nd Dynasty. Now exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum, New York.
Amon, the god of the sun, wind and fertility of the ancient Egyptians, was bought by Howard Carter in 1917 from a farmer in Luxor for one pound, he gave it to Lord Carnarvon as his birthday present. His family auctioned it in 1983, selling it at a price of sum millions dollars.
