The second was because the cap at the very bottom, which secures the line, wore out and broke. Because of all the hard scape in my yard, I wind up skimming the cap along pavers and against walls. This wears it away until it breaks.
Which, okay. But you can't just buy a replacement cap, you have to buy a full replacement spool. The first time, I didn't want to pay for, so I bought a knock-off replacement. Which didn't fit properly but which also got stuck and couldn't be removed.
