The situation in Venezuela has taken my #Olympics democratic idealism out of my sails. The notion that it’s the US’ role to step in to a sovereign country to correct their elections is Monroe doctrine bullshit on its face, and all the drummed up color revolution bullshit is just meant to justify it. You’d have thought we’d figured it out with Juan guiado, but as it turns out here is another attempt at US three letter meddling. Maybe I’m a crock today for saying that, give it a decade. #news
