This reminds me of a thread on TV Tropes from years ago, where someone was complaining about how there was no way to strike the right balance with minority characters, bc of ostensibly opposing ideas as to what makes good representation.
Which is false to begin with. For so many reasons. This definitely felt like one of those fake "helpless" moments.
But they were also wrong bc it never occurred to them that they could make two characters belonging to that minority.
