It feels difficult to me to try to talk about casting that goes outside the conventionally attractive without it possibly coming off insulting?
This actually happened once when I was talking about myself, and I had to explain that, no, I’m not saying I’m “ugly”. I’m talking about an idea of attractiveness that doesn’t necessarily align with any individuals tastes.
Anyway, point is, it’s nice to see different body types in some of the series I watch. Not everyone has a washboard stomach for ex.
