The guy I borrowed some scaffolding from was looking at the milkweeds in one of my native plant stands and said that when the stalks are new and slender, they prefer them to asparagus. I've never heard that before. When the milkweed pods are just about two inches, they grill them, and the insides are like melted cheese. That just sounds so odd to me. #NativePlants
