Lately I've been thinking a lot about this movement to rescue personal websites/blogs. I've always had one since 2001. It's great to have your own space on the web, away from the big corporations that own social networks. One of the things that caught my attention about Mastodon is the integration between the fediverse, and the lack of a giant company owning the backyard, of course.
