I was once told in a discussion about wellfare payments, that "if someone disabled is a good person, their family will take care of them".
Of course this wasn't an argument to be discussed, but just an excuse for why this person didn't need to reconsider their opinion about wellfare cuts.
It doesn't matter to the typical conservative, that a disabled person might have to endure abuse, because that is the price they think you should have to pay for being unable to work.
