The satellite and radar over the Northland at 2:25 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, shows a cluster of showers and thunderstorms along the South Shore and Upper Peninsula regions. Clearing to clear skies have or are taking place elsewhere.
One line of thunderstorms that passed through Washburn and Sawyer counties Tuesday morning brought small hail, under 1-inch in diameter, and at least a strong enough wind gust for a decent size tree branch to be blown off.
