Sheesh--I'm a bit bummed, but maybe I'll sleep easier tonight. I was reading a really good fanfiction but got too sleepy to finish, so I went to bed.
Turned on my computer this morning to finish it and the bloody site was down (and has been all day). The anticipation has been killing me--I hadn't read this one before (or the fandom in ages, honestly) and wanted to see what would happen next.
Hopefully after my morning workout, I'll turn on the computer and the site will be active again. That'll be a helluva incentive to get stuff done so I can finish the last 5 chapters without interruption (hee hee).
I suppose the lack of fanfiction access has also created a good thing: I've had to get out of my head for a little while and do some real thinking.
It's become a crutch to just read fiction all the time when I should be focusing on nonfiction stuff in the real world, like jobs and chores and the like. But after a rough day, a few chapters of well written fiction is a cheap pick me up.
