salvaged the critical RTC chip. instead of melting the solder the iron basically ate away the whole corroded pcb surface. i did this on two sides than just lifted it out. all the legs seem to be intact.
the spot on the pcb wjere the RTS chip was. it's a mess
the RTS chip. a small rectangular 20 pin SMT IC with tiny apple and motorola logos and some numbers on it
the same chip on it's back. the legs are curled up as if it was a dead spider. on two sides there are still parts if the pcb attached to the legs
