Over the next year in the U.S., we are sadly going to add almost half of a gigawatt of power generation capacity that is still using the 19th century technology of burning fossil fuels, but get this we're also installing over sixteen gigawatts of batteries to store excess electrons from the almost forty gigawatts of solar and wind that's scheduled to be built.
Yes of course, we need to stop adding new fossil fuel infrastructure even in red states, but by golly we're heading in right direction.
