I kept seeing claims how #X11 doesn't handle mixed display refresh rates well and #Wayland does. I was confused because it always worked just fine for me, apart from vsync always syncing to the 60Hz display (so I just don't enable it). And then I launched #KDE with a compositor (aka desktop effects) to check something there. Boom, even the mouse cursor was clearly at 60 FPS on my high refresh rate display. Toggling the compositor fixed it. So it was always a matter of me not using a compositor!
