The problem, of course, is that the group could do the same process next year, remediate the issues identified from this initiative, and the state will find or create new issues to block the measure again.
But this isn't new. When it comes to candidates running for office, Arkansas has some of the highest ballot access fees in the country despite having a relatively small population and being one of the poorest states.
The state is designed to shield the people in power and their policies.
