It was a long bridge: three-quarters-of-a-mile in length, and the coke was gone by the time I reached the New Jersey side. Seven states down and seven to go.
On the Jersey side, I stopped at the Visitor Center for the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, which now preserves and protects one of the most scenic stretches of river in the northeastern United States.
