Spent some good quality time with Godot this week. Very much still in learning mode, but encouraged by seeing visual progress.
I'm a dab hand at business programming, but game programming is a whole other world. There is useful overlap, but there are also totally different design and architecture patterns you wouldn't learn outside gamedev. So the learning curve is steep.
I'm still very much getting my bearings. Learning what makes sense and what works well, and what doesn't.
