I watched this tonight…and it almost brought tears to my eyes.
I remember pleading with the #economics department at a prestigious university I worked for from 2007 to 2010 to do summer schools with the Sutton Trust for kids from deprived backgrounds. Other departments ran them every year, but not economics.
A prejudice that being poor made you not bright enough to understand the maths of economics prevailed.
