I’m impatient and downloaded the iOS18 beta, I have relapsed into custom Shortcuts-based app icons. @bearnotesapp and @overcastfm have permanent places on my Home Screen, and the system’s auto dark mode doesn’t pick up my preferred icon options for them, so I threw together my own! I think the Overcast one looks particularly hot in orange and dark grey.
Having seen behind the scenes on dark mode icons with @montyhayter’s app, wow it’s not easy to decide how icons should behave with the new OS.
