On my monthly coffee group slow roll, we were talking about the benefits of 90’s steel mountain bikes set up as “all terrain bikes” with road-friendly 26” tires, fenders, racks/baskets, etc. These bikes have all the mounts you could want.
The only problem is finding in them without rust — the bottom bracket might need service or replacement.
Look on CL or elsewhere are Trek 950’s, Specialized Stumpjumpers or Rockhoppers, and any number of MTBs from brands like Cannondale, Bridgestone, etc.
