These two happily-adjacent screen grabs remind us of a common symptom of not studying history: like many “transactional” plutocrats before him, Elmo imagines that he’ll be quid-pro-quo’d as long as he continues to say nice things about (and does helpful things for) that weird orange guy. I’ll just say that sometimes it doesn’t work out that way, and that now and then, even, as the second snippet suggests, it VERY doesn’t work out that way.
A comment suggesting Musk might provide Trump with helpful voting information in swing states juxtaposed with one suggesting Google could receive unwelcome government attention if it’s not more sympathetic to what is wanted.
