There is a bogus meme the US Republicans are trying to make about the inflation in the past few years. That it is historic. Well it was higher than anyone wanted it, but it was consistent with other recoveries the US economy has had. Look at inflation before and after WWII, the recession of 1974, and now after our pandemic shutdowns.
No, it's not historic.
