A year of work is headed upstairs. Good luck BICEP, have fun on the ISS!
A circuit board that I designed for a BioServe Space Technologies experiment package that launched to the International Space Station today. This particular board is a "hub" that powers and controls four automated experiment trays, each with heaters, pumps, and sensors, that are used to grow and monitor various types of cells. These microgravity experiments have the potential to improve our understanding of long-term habitation in space as well as developing new medical and aging treatments here on Earth. The circuit board in the picture is about 6" square, has a row of status LEDs on the left side, electrical connectors with bundles of wires on the right side, and is mounted to a metal plate which is part of a box that's in the process of being assembled.
