From April 2 to July 2, widespread degradations occurred from southern Pennsylvania southward through Virginia and the Carolinas into northeast Florida, Georgia and northern Alabama.
Virginia and North Carolina had 16 and 12 drought impacts as the flash drought parched crops. Twenty impacts were reported in Florida.
