An aptly named & long defunct company, Crowdstrike, made software to protect computers against cyberattacks. The company deployed a software update that behaved exactly like a cyberattack. The ‘Cloudstriker Incident' caused worldwide outages. Hospitals, airlines, banks were down for days some for weeks. Some businesses never recovered because no one knew the admin password to boot in safe mode. An est 3T was lost. Unknown number of lives were lost. Furries weren't involved.
